This Kathmandu to Lhasa overland tour is a once-in-a-lifetime journey that takes you across the Himalayas, blending natural beauty, spiritual sites, and rich cultures of both Nepal and Tibet. Your adventure begins in Kathmandu, where you’ll explore some of the most important Hindu and Buddhist heritage sites in the world, including Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath Stupa. While enjoying the vibrant city, we take care of your Tibet Travel Permit and Group Visa.
From there, you’ll travel through scenic mountain roads to the Nepal-Tibet border, cross into Tibet at Rasuwa Gadhi, and continue your journey to Kyirong, a peaceful town surrounded by Himalayan landscapes.
The tour includes a special visit to the Tibetan side of Mount Everest Base Camp, where you'll witness jaw-dropping views of the world’s tallest mountain. You’ll then head to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city, before reaching the holy city of Lhasa.
In Lhasa, you'll visit the legendary Potala Palace, the spiritual Jokhang Temple, and ancient monasteries like Drepung and Sera, where monks still practice traditional debates.
The tour ends with a return trip by train and road back to the Nepal border and a scenic drive back to Kathmandu.

Exclusions
- Travel insurance, Rescue and emergency evacuations service, medical and hospital expenses (in case you become sick on the way),
- Extra Night accommodation in Timure/Kyirong/Lhasa other places due to bad weather or any other Chinese reason is charged.
- Vehicle : Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary
- If Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, who is directly payable on the spot)

Terms & Conditions
- Necessary to send color Scan copy of Passport of traveler with name list 30 days before departure for permits processing.
- We need 6 Month valid ordinary Passport but Diplomat passport is not acceptable.
- Should deposit USD $ 400 per person as advance before processing.(0 non-refundable)
- Original Passport will collect at Kathmandu. For obtained the Tibet visa, we need to summit the original passport with application form and color recent photograph to the Chinese embassy in Kathmandu only. Chinese Embassy takes 4-5 working days to issue the visa
- Before the lhasa departures, must clear all remaining Payment.
Cancellation Policy:
- After processing the Tour Permit $USD 200 will be charged as cancellation.
- 5 days before of departure date, USD 0 will be charged as cancellation.
- Same days before departure date, 100 % will be charge.
Travels Notice:
If suddenly program has changed Due to weather problem, natural disaster, landslide, technical problem and political movement, Chinese reason, all additional expenses should be paid by themselves.

Don’t take any picture, tape record, newspapers, political things or anything related to Dalai Lama , If found in Tibet, on the spot China Army will control and take legal action.
General Information regarding Tour.
- Insurance: Medical Insurance not compulsory for visa processing but will usefully you do insurance in case any health problem arises during travel.
- Oxygen cylinder: Our Company will provide oxygen cylinder in emergency. Usually, oxygen cylinder is not required. However, some pilgrimage we prefer to carry their own handy oxygen cylinders. You may buy small portable cylinder in Tibet. It may cost approx. Yuan 20-30 per cylinder.

- Money exchange: Others currency (except UDS $) are not accepted in China but is acceptable in Nepal. Pilgrimage should exchange your Currency to Chinese Currency in Kathmandu/Nepal
