Overview
The Kailash Overland Tour from Kerung offers a spiritually enriching and scenic journey to the sacred Mount Kailash, beginning in the vibrant city of Kathmandu. From there, the route heads north through the lush hills of Timure and crosses into Tibet at the Rasuwa Gadhi border. The journey continues to Kyirong, a peaceful Himalayan town ideal for acclimatization, before heading across the vast Tibetan plateau to the town of Saga, passing through dramatic high mountain passes and catching the first glimpse of the mighty Brahmaputra River.
Pilgrims then travel to the revered Lake Mansarovar, where they can bathe in its holy waters and witness the awe-inspiring view of Mount Kailash. The spiritual core of the journey lies in the three-day Kailash Parikrama, starting from Darchen, with stops at Yamdwar, Diraphuk, Dolma La Pass, Gaurikund, and Zuthulphuk. This sacred trek offers powerful moments of reflection, prayer, and connection with nature. After completing the parikrama, the route loops back through Saga and Kyirong before concluding in Kathmandu.

Immigration, drive to Kyirong After breakfast short walk to Rasuwa Gadhi (Nepal-China border).once after completing the immigration & custom formalities in Nepal-Tibet side at Rasuwa Gadhi, then continue drive to small city Kyirong. Kyirong is a beautiful place surrounded By the Great Himalayas where everyone can just go visit Temple, Transportations-BY Higher Bus. Spend the day at kyirong for Acclimatization. Kyirong is a beautiful place surrounded By the Great Himalayas where everyone can just go visit Temple, enjoy the shopping & local Chinese food.High altitude acclimatization starts from Kyirong. Everyone has to get acclimatized to the climatic conditions so take short walk around & start taking diamox tablets will help you further during the trip. Drive to Saga/Paryang After breakfast drive to Saga (169km-5hrs) en-route passing Ghungtang-La (5236M) views old Monasteries, beautiful waterfall, river and dense Alpine Forest and will have glimpse of Holy River Brahmaputra. Drive to Lake Mansarovar: After breakfast drive towards The Sacred Holy Lake Mansarovar. It’s very auspicious day for all people as they will have first glimpse of Holy Lake Mansarovar and view of Mt.Kailash from Horchu. After completing the Local immigration will continue your drive further and complete Lake Mansarovar Parikrama by vehicle. On the way find a beautiful place to take memorable groups picture of Kailash, Mansarovar and Rakshash lake. This is the moment all are eagerly waiting for has arrived ..The breathtaking view of Manasarovar and magnificent view of galaxy is something amazing memories for everyone to cherish for lifetime.

Puja,hawan and Drive to Darchen. It’s very auspicious day for all Yatries . To be in the abode of god itself is a lifetime achievement. Everyone can just have bath at the banks of the Holy lake Sarovar, Continued by Puja, Havana work Meditation and spiritual activities etc. After lunch drive to to Darchen.

Drive to Yamdwar and trek to Diraphuk.(1st day Parikrama) After breakfast will have a short drive till Yamadwar(7km).This is the starting point for Kailash Parikrama.After having the darshan of yamdwar all the pilgrims start their first day trek towards Diraphuk(which is 12km trek) either by walk or they can hire horse as well as porter to carry your bag packs while trekking. Enjoy the serenity of nature around u with quite sounds of flowing river aside and have the view of Nandi Kailash while on the way.you will have the North face Mt Kailash darshan from Deraphuk.Never miss the opportunity of seeing the first sunrays on My Kailash early in the morning which is something spectacular and visual treat for everyone (GOLDEN MT KAILASH).So never miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. Yatries who are not doing Parikrama will have Darshana at yamdwar and return back to Darchen and stay there until the Parikrama yatries come back to Darchen.

Trek to Zuthulphuk.(2nd day Parikrama) Wake up early have very light breakfast and continue 2nd day Parikarma from Deraphuk to Dolma La pass (5620m) and proceed to Zuthulphuk (4790m).This is the day every pilgrims talks about the most important as well as difficult part of the journey throughout the trip,your trek is of 22kms and the trek goes steep climbing up to Dolma La High pass (5620m)which is around 6-7kms and steep down to next flat valley via Gaurikunda. Then you will walk another 3-4 hours to Zuthulphuk.Yatries who hired horse also should climb steep up to Dolma La pass and steep down towards Gaurikunda..Once this thoughest part of the journey is completed there will be local small tea stalls where you can just have hot cup of tea or noodles just relax for some time and start towards zuthulphuk and You will see East face of Mt Kailash on the way.

Trek to ending point and drive to Saga:(3rd day Parikrama) Today is the last day of trekking: Wake up Early morning have tea/coffee/cookies, your trek is of approximately 7 KM & takes around 2 Hrs to complete, you reach to the end point where our Bus will be waiting and we will drive to Darchen (parikarma Circuit ends) and merge with other members who were waiting. Exclusions
- Personal Horse riding expenses, Personal use porter,
- Travel insurance, Rescue and emergency evacuations service, medical and hospital expenses (in case you become sick on the way),
- Extra Night accommodation in Kathmandu /Timure/Kyirong/saga other places due to bad weather or any other Chinese reason is charged.
- Vehicle: Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary
- if Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes),fight cancelation etc (to be borne by the client, who is directly payable on the spot)
- 5 %GST Tax if Deposit in Indian Bank Account.
- Due to medical conditions if someone wants to return earlier from Kailash Yatra, all medical emergency hospital expenses should be bare by the client & groups visa splitting charge each RMB 200 & extra transportation cost each vehicle $USD 600.

- if China Government /customs doesn’t allow Our kitchen group to carry Food from Nepal to China due to COVID restrictions then we must have food from Chinese fixed kitchen or restaurants where prices might increase more than as mentioned in package.
Terms & Conditions
- Necessary to send color Scan copy of Passport of pilgrimage with name list 40 days before departure for permits processing.
- We need 6 Month valid ordinary Passport but Diplomat passport is not acceptable.
- PAN card scan copy is required (Indian citizen only).Voter ID is compulsory who travelling by Flight .
- Should deposit Rs 30,000 or USD $ 400 per person as advance before processing.(0 non-refundable)
- Indian pilgrimage- Should send Original Passport to our Delhi office by courier (Blue dart) 10 days before from the departure date for China visa Process.
- NRI/Other Citizen’s Original Passport will collect after arrival in Kathmandu.
- Original voter (Indian citizen) ID card is mandatory to fly from India to Kathmandu.
- NRI have to come 1 day prior to given itinerary date (For visa processing at KTM), extra night accomodaiton has to pay by self.
- Indian passport holders who are coming from Other countries to Kathmandu, have to come 3 day prior to given itinerary date.(for visa procesing in Delhi),extra night accomodaiton has to pay by self.
- Indian Pilgrims who are 70 Years or above:
- Has to submit Medical Report from Indian Government Hospital within 6 months before your journey starts.
- Two direct relatives required.
- Has to deposit 1000$(USD) before the journey to the company (China GOVT) for any sudden demise.
- Health examination is done before Parikrama by Chinese doctors. once you get the approval from doctor then only you can go for Parikrama.
- Before the Kailash departures, must clear all remaining Payment.
- NOTE : Price(Indian Citizen only) mentioned above is based on 2019 tour(yatra).Price variations might be there according to FEC –China rules.
Cancellation Policy:
- After processing the Kailash Permit 10,000 will be charged as cancellation.
- 5 days before of departure date, INR 25,000 will be charged as cancellation.
- Same days before departure date, 70 % will be charged as cancellation
Travels Notice:
If suddenly program has changed Due to weather problem, natural disaster, landslide, technical problem and political movement, Chinese reason, all additional expenses should be paid by themselves.

Don’t take any picture, tape record, newspapers, political things or anything related to Dalai Lama , If found in Tibet, on the spot China Army will control and take legal action.
General Information regarding Kailash Mansarovar Tour.
- Insurance: Medical Insurance not compulsory for visa processing but will usefully you do insurance in case any health problem arises during travel.
- Oxygen cylinder: Our Company will provide oxygen cylinder in emergency. Usually, oxygen cylinder is not required. However, some pilgrimage we prefer to carry their own handy oxygen cylinders. You may buy small portable cylinder in Tibet. It may cost approx. Yuan 20-30 per cylinder.
- Food during Tour: Our cooks will be traveling with you during the entire trip.Our Staff will carry all necessary cooking items and will provide Indian vegetarian food during Yatra..
