Overview
The Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal ( other popular treks are the Everest Cho La Pass, Gokyo Renjo La Pass, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and many more). This trek offers stunning views of Mt. Everest and other beautiful peaks. This trek is of 13 days.
This trek starts with the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by trekking to Phakding. You head to different attractive sights en route: amazing scenery of Mount Everest-8848.48 m above sea level—Lhotse (8501 m), Cho Oyu (8153 m), Makalu (8463 m), Ama Dablam (6856 m), among other snow-covered peaks.
The Everest Base Camp Trek is graded as moderately difficult, taking 13 days in total, which is ideal for fit and adventurous people. The trek has been so designed that altitude sickness could be avoided as one will gradually get himself acclimatized. This trek gives an introduction to the culture of the Sherpa people with their tradition and is also known for their great hospitality. This trek offers seeing the glaciers at the interval of time.
The trek views at intervals glaciers and beautiful valleys and gives an introduction to the culture of the Sherpa people-these are the people who are known for their hospitality and strength. On the trek there are many famous monasteries, including the famous one in Tangboche.
We, Namaste Holidays, have planned carefully and discovered the 13-day trek to Everest Base Camp with respect to the altitude and let you have enough acclimatization time. Namaste Holidays offers this journey with accommodation in a tea house or lodge, expert guides, and porters who will guide and assist you on every step of your way. Whether it's for a challenging adventure or submerging yourself in the overwhelming natural beauty and special culture of the region, this is one trek you shouldn't miss in your lifetime.
During peak seasons, trekkers can also catch glimpses of colorful mountaineering tents at the base camp set up by mountaineers preparing for the summit. The trek offers the chance to see stunning high-altitude landscapes: high mountain lakes, milky rivers, and valleys filled with purple flowers in bloom during springtime.
The route for the Everest Base Camp trek is as follows: first Kathmandu to Lukla by flight, then Lukla to Phakding, Phakding to Namche Bazzar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and finally to Gorakshep. From Gorakshep one can ascend to Kala Patthar for the panoramic views of Everest.
The Everest Base Camp Trek follows the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, who in 1953 ascended to the summit of Mount Everest. This is a walk through Buddhist monasteries, Sherpa stone stupas, carved mani walls, and some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth. You will be up close and personal with nature and the culture of the Sherpa people, which will test both your mental and physical strength.
Be it the 13-day trek or the extended itinerary of 15 days, this is going to be one heck of an adventure-the Everest Base Camp Trek-packed with awing views, cultural immersion, and a feeling of accomplishment that you get only at the foot of the world's highest peak.
