Muktinath Yatra Package for 5N/6 Days

The Muktinath Yatra Package is one of the famous tour packages for Hindus and Buddhists .Muktinath is a sacred temple and pilgrimage tour that lies in the Annapurna Conservation Area of Nepal. Talking about the altitude, Muktinath is situated at 37,10 m (12,172 ft.) above sea level in the Mustang district and is also known as the Mukti Kshetra. 

In this Muktinath Tour Package, our journey starts with sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley of different cultural heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilakantha, also known as Jalnarayan, and Guheshwari Temple, Swoyambhunath Temple (Monkey Temple), and shopping in the afternoon and other activities as well. Then the next day we will drive to Pokhara; using the cable car, we will visit Manakamana Temple. After sightseeing, we will drive to Pokhara, the queen city of Nepal. After reaching Pokhara, and after some rest in the hotel, in the evening visit the Fewa Lake. 

On the fourth day we fly to Jhomsom and then drive to Muktinath by jeep, where you will get plenty of time to explore Muktinath Temple. And in the evening we will drive back to Jomsom for a night stay.

About Muktinath Temple

Muktinath Temple is made up of two Sanskrit words: “Mukti” and “Nath,” where Mukti means salvation or Moksha, and Nath means God. In Muktinath Temple you will see 108 sacred water spouts (springs) where the pilgrims take a bath. There are two holy ponds in front of Muktinath Temple known as Laxmi Kunda and Saraswati Kunda. And there is a belief that if you dip into these ponds, then all your negative things are removed from your body and make a pure soul.

Near the Muktinath temple, there is a temple of Devi (Goddess) known as Jwala Mai, who is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists. There is a blue flame burning 24 hrs in the temple. With this you can see the mixed culture of Hindu gods and Buddhist priests (Jhuma, buddy lady monk Aani). Priests of the Buddhist, i.e., Jhuma, are not allowed to marry. This place partly owes its fame to the fossils. 

The place partly owes its fame to the fossil stones, called Shaligram—considered holy by Hindus—found along the Kali Gandaki River. The fossil stones are said to represent Lord Vishnu in stone form. The temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is simple in architecture and built in pagoda style.

It is believed to have been constructed at the beginning of the 19th century. As the idol of Vishnu is considered to date from the 16th century.Many Hindu pilgrims from Nepal and India visit the site to worship Lord Vishnu . Buddhists call it Chumig Gyatsa, which in Tibetan means 'Hundred Waters.' Although the temple has a Vaishnava origin, it is also revered in Buddhism.

Muktinath is also known as Mukti Kshetra (51 shakti pitham), which means “place of liberation or moksha.” And also mentioned in the Hindu scriptures such as the Ramayana, Barah Purana, and Skanda Purana. Yearly, thousands of people visit Muktinath Temple, where many Indians also visit Muktinath Temple after completing the chardham yatra, located in India.
