The Lhasa-Everest Base Camp (EBC) tour is an extraordinary 12-day adventure that immerses travelers in the breathtaking beauty and rich cultural heritage of Tibet. This journey begins with an arrival in Kathmandu, followed by a flight to Lhasa, where the exploration of this mystical region truly begins.

Upon arriving in Lhasa, travelers will experience a traditional Tibetan welcome before settling into their accommodations. The tour includes visits to iconic sites such as the Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance as the former residence of the Dalai Lama. The Jokhang Temple, considered the spiritual center of Tibet, offers a deep insight into Tibetan Buddhism and is surrounded by the vibrant Barkhor Street, where visitors can experience local culture and shop for traditional handicrafts.

 

The itinerary continues with visits to Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery, both of which are among the "great three" Gelug monasteries of Tibet. Here, travelers can witness fascinating monk debates and explore the impressive religious architecture.

 

As the journey progresses, travelers will drive through stunning landscapes to Gyantse and Shigatse, stopping at Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's sacred lakes known for its turquoise waters and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The tour also includes a visit to Pelkor Chode Monastery in Gyantse, famous for its unique architecture and beautiful stupa.

 

The adventure culminates with a drive to Rongbuk Valley, where travelers can stay overnight at either the Rongbuk Monastery guesthouse or nomad tents. From here, they will visit Everest Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 5,200 meters, offering unparalleled views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayas. Witnessing the sunrise over Everest is a highlight of this tour, providing an unforgettable experience at the foot of the world's highest peak.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu(5hrs/1400Mtr)
 
After breakfast visit at Pashupatinath Temple ,Rudra Avisekam   and  Jal Narayan (Budhanilakatha)/shopping..  After dinner A short briefing about Tibet tour .

Day 03: China Visa waiting/free day in Kathmandu(1400Mtr)

Day 04: Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa(1130km+60km/3800 Mtr/1:25 minute fly)
 
After breakfast transfer to Kathmandu  International Airport & flight to Gonggar Airport.Tradional welcome to everyone in Tibetan culture with Khada. From there it takes 1 hour drive  to reach beautiful capital city of Tibet.
 
Lhasa is world famous for its sites of historical interest related to Buddhism such as Potala Palace,Jokhang Temple.Reach Hotel around 4pm Chinese time relax for the rest of the day and enjoy watching Traditional Tibetan cultural dance(YAK DANCE) while having dinner. High Altitude Acclimatization starts from Lhasa,start taking diamox tablets will help you  further during the trip.

Day 05: Full days sightseeing in Lhasa (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street) (5hrs/3800Mtr)
 
Visit world famous Potala Palace square (7th century)which is 117m height.This palace is named after Mount Potalaka, the mythical abode of the bodhisattva.Your first view of the red-and-white Potala palace soaring above the Holy City raises goose bumps and magnificent view & next visit Jokhang Templeis the spiritual center of Tibet and the holiest destination for all Tibetian piligrims & considered as most sacred and important temple in Tibet, which is magical place showing the original outlook of Lhasa and is a place full of religious atmosphere and a world of exotic articles. Spend the free day for acclimatization. Everyone has to get acclimatized to the climatic conditions so take short walk around.

Day 06: Lhasa sightseeing Drepung monastery &Sera monastery (6hrs/3800Mtr)
 
 After breakfast you are going to visit Drepung monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. You can visit biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
 
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon. In addition, you can tour the Tibetan religious scripture printing house; inside the monastery, you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha.

Day 07: Lhasa- Gyantse - Shigatse (3900Mtr/360km/7hrs)
 
We will pass by Kampala pass (4794m) on the way from Lhasa to Shigatse and visit Yamdrok Lake. Covering 638Km², Yamdrok Lake is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. The lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and is fed by numerous small streams. Later we will pass and enjoy the Karola Glacier on the roadside. It is about 300m from the main highway with easy access on your way to Gyantse.
 
Then visit the main monastery in Gyantse - Pelkor Chode Monastery. Pelkhor Chode in Gyantse town is located about 230km to the south of Lhasa and 100kmto east of Shigatse. The monastery is a short walk from the heart of the town.

Day 08: Shigatse - Tingri – EBC (5100Mtr/350km/8hrs)
 
In the morning, you will leave Shigatse to Lhatse, a small town located 150 km from Shigatse, and you may have lunch in the local restaurant. After a short rest, you will go ahead to Tingri. You will pass Tsola Pass(4600M), and Gyatsola Pass(5248M). In the late afternoon, you enter Mt. Everest National Nature Reserve. You can enjoy the panorama of Himalaya at Gawula Pass (5198m).
 
Then we drive along the new zigzag road to Rongpuk or the Tent Camp to stay overnight. If the weather is good, you can have a clear view of the sunset of golden Everest peak.If it’s summertime (usually May-Oct), we will stay overnight at the nomad tents of the new Everest Base Camp; if winter time (usually Nov-Apr), we will stay at Rongbuk Monastery’s guesthouse. Both places have but only the dorm bed lodging available. Both places you can see the glorious Everest sunset if the weather is good.

Day 09: EBC - Shigatse (3900Mtr/350km/8hrs)
 
You can get up early and enjoy the sunrise of Everest Peak at lodging area if the weather is good. And then, we can drive you to the Everest Base Camp. After sightseeing, we will drive back to Shigatse and enjoy the fabulous view along the way.

Day 10:Shigatse- Lhasa (3800Mtr/360km/7hrs)
 
In Shigatse, we will visit Tashilunpo Monastery the home of Panchen Lama. It was founded by the 1st Dalai Lama in 1447, and is a historic and culturally important monastery in Shigatse and also the second-largest city in Tibet. It located on a hill in the center of the city, the full name in Tibetan of the monastery means "all fortune and happiness gathered here" or "heap of glory". Drive back to Lhasa from Shigatse along the friendship way, the northern way to Lhasa. On the way, you’ll see the Yarlung Tsangpo valley.

Day 11: Fly Lhasa to Kathmandu (60km drive+1130km/1 hrs drive 1:25Hrs flight/1400 Mtr)

Process, Term& condition 

  • Necessary to send color Scan copy of Passport of pilgrimage with name list 40 days before departure for permits processing.
  • We need 6 Month valid ordinary Passport but Diplomat passport is not acceptable. 
  • Should deposit  USD 00 per person as advance before processing.(0 non-refundable)
  • Original Passport & MRP Photo 4 pic   will collect after arrival in Kathmandu.
  • Before the  departures, must clear all remaining Payment.

Cancellation Policy:

  • After processing the Permit $USD 200 will be charged as cancellation.
  • 5 days before of departure date, USD 00 will be charged as cancellation.
  • Same days before departure date, 70 % will be charged as cancellation

If suddenly program has changed Due to weather problem, natural disaster, landslide, technical problem and political movement, Chinese reason, all additional expenses should be paid by themselves

General Information regarding Tibet Tour.

  • Insurance: Medical Insurance not compulsory for visa processing but will usefully you do insurance in case any health problem arises during travel.
  • Oxygen cylinder: Our Company will provide oxygen cylinder in emergency. Usually, oxygen cylinder is not required. However, some pilgrimage we prefer to carry their own handy oxygen cylinders. You may buy small portable cylinder in Tibet. It may cost approx. Yuan 20-30 per cylinder.

China Government Notice!!!-  Don’t take any picture, tape record, newspapers, political things or anything related to Dalai Lama , If found in Tibet, on the spot China Army will control and take legal action.  

  • Should carry dry food Items to make your journey  more comfortable               
  • Carry regular medicine -Diamox250 mg. 20 tablets and Personal First Aid Kit.
  • Money exchange: Others currency (except UDS $) are not accepted in China but is acceptable in Nepal. Pilgrimage should exchange your Currency to Chinese Currency in Kathmandu/Nepal.
